• Pregabalin (Lyrica) This medication can also be used for both the prevention of seizures and nerve pain. It helps by calming down the nerves in the patient’s body. This medication is a type of gamma-aminobutyric acid analog (gabapentinoid).
• Topiramate (Topamax) Topiramate is an anticonvulsant and anti-migraine medication. It comes in several oral forms. It is commonly used for patients with epilepsy. It may also be used to prevent migraines from taking place. It works by stopping unusual electrical activity in the patient’s brain.
• Clonazepam (Klonopin) This medication fits within a few different drug classes. It is an anticonvulsant. It is also considered to be an anxiolytic and a benzodiazepine. It can be used to treat seizure disorders like epilepsy or for certain panic disorders. This medication works by relaxing the nerves and the brain.
