Flovent is a prescription inhaled corticosteroid used as a daily controller to help prevent asthma symptoms by reducing airway inflammation over time. It is not a rescue inhaler and does not treat sudden breathing attacks.

Flovent HFA is a prescription inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) containing fluticasone propionate in a metered-dose inhaler.
People: Maintenance treatment of asthma in adults and children 4 years and older.
Pets (vet-prescribed use): Veterinarians may prescribe inhaled fluticasone off-label for conditions like feline asthma or other chronic airway inflammation. Follow your veterinarian’s directions
Fluticasone reduces inflammation in the airways. With consistent daily use, it can lower symptoms and reduce flare-ups over time.
