Pharmacist Review & Verification Process
Licensed pharmacists are involved at multiple stages of prescription review. These reviews help ensure accuracy and reduce the risk of errors.
As part of this process, pharmacists verify that the prescription includes the required information, such as:
- Patient identification details
- Prescriber identification and authorization
- Medication name, strength, and dosage form
- Quantity prescribed and directions for use
- Prescription issue date and validity
An initial review focuses on confirming that the prescription is valid and matches the order submitted. A final verification may occur prior to dispensing to confirm accuracy one last time.
If any information is missing, unclear, or does not match the prescription exactly, the order is placed on hold until the issue is resolved.
Prescription Verification & Compliance
All prescriptions are reviewed to ensure they meet applicable pharmacy and regulatory requirements.
MyRx Outlet reserves the right to delay or decline fulfillment if prescription information cannot be verified or does not meet required standards. These safeguards are in place to protect patients and maintain the integrity of the prescription fulfillment process.
No Prescription Substitutions
MyRx Outlet does not substitute medications without proper authorization. If a prescription does not match the selected medication, fulfillment will not proceed until the discrepancy is resolved.
Any changes require confirmation from the prescribing healthcare provider.
Controlled Substances
MyRx Outlet does not dispense controlled substances or medications subject to additional federal or state restrictions.
Patient Responsibility
Patients are responsible for providing accurate and complete prescription information and for consulting their prescribing healthcare provider regarding medication use.
Questions related to dosing, side effects, interactions, or medical suitability should be directed to a licensed healthcare provider or pharmacist.
