- Lamotrigine, because levels may decrease and seizure control may be affected

How do I use NuvaRing each month?
Insert one ring and keep it in place for 3 continuous weeks, then remove it for 1 week. Insert a new ring on the same day of the week (and around the same time) after the ring-free week.
What happens if NuvaRing falls out?
If it is out for less than 3 hours, rinse with cool to lukewarm water and reinsert as soon as possible. If it is out for more than 3 continuous hours, pregnancy protection may be reduced and backup contraception is usually needed for 7 days (label-specific instructions depend on the week of use).
What if I leave NuvaRing in too long?
If left in for up to 4 weeks total, protection may still be maintained, but you should follow label instructions for removal and restarting. If left in longer than 4 weeks, rule out pregnancy and use backup until the new ring has been in place for 7 days in a row.
Does NuvaRing protect against sexually transmitted infections?
No. NuvaRing does not protect against HIV (AIDS) or other sexually transmitted infections.
