Clinical studies have shown that CagriSema—a combination of semaglutide and cagrilintide—leads to more weight loss than either of its ingredients when they are used alone. CagriSema led to 22.7% weight loss. Cagrilitntide (11.8%) and semaglutide (16.1%) showed much less.

CagriSema has not yet been approved for public use. It is still being tested.
